What You’ll Need
- “Hey Boo” printable ($1 in my TPT store)
- Washable, non-toxic white paint
- Small paintbrush or foam brush
- Black construction paper (only for the “no blobs” version)
- Scissors & glue stick (for the cut-and-glue option)
- Baby wipes/damp towel for quick clean-up
- Optional: black cardstock to mount, fine-tip black marker for faces
Making Your Footprint Craft
Print & Prep
- Download and print your preferred “Hey Boo” template on regular paper or cardstock.
- Set up your space: cover the table, have wipes ready, and keep a toy handy to distract your little one.
- Brush a thin, even coat of paint onto one foot. (Thin paint = crisp prints!)

Choose Your Version
I decided to make two different versions of this printable, and I used the one WITHOUT black ink blobs – mostly because I found that the white paint I used didn’t show up great on the printed black blobs!
OPTION A — Fastest: Print WITH black ink blobs
Stamp directly on the printable.
- Line the heel up near the bottom of the black oval inside each “O.”
- Press heel first, then gently rock to the toes. Lift straight up.
- Repeat with the other foot on the second “O.”
- Let the paint dry.
OPTION B — Layered look: Print WITHOUT black ink blobs
Stamp first on black construction paper.
- Make two white footprints on the black paper and let them dry.
- Cut & glue.
- Cut around each footprint (leave a thin black outline if you like).
- Glue the cutouts onto the printable where the two “O” spots are.

Add Ghost Faces
- Use a black marker or a tiny brush with black paint to add two eyes and a mouth to each footprint ghost.
Finish & Display
- Write your child’s name and the year at the bottom.
- Mount on black cardstock, frame it, or hang it with washi tape.

Tips for Success
- Do one foot at a time and keep wipes within reach.
- Practice on scrap paper first if your kiddo is wiggly.
- If a print smudges, no stress—just reprint the page and try again.
- For babies, stamping while they’re in a highchair can help.
